In the Vista VM, everything is OK on the Aero front, including Flip 3D (but Aero activates only after manually selecting it in the appearance preferences, or after updating the performance scores: the updating takes a long time, seems to hang/freeze for several minutes without progress, and then eventually completes), but I see the same intermittent artifacts, etc. In the Windows 7 VM, only Aero Snap seems to work after selecting an Aero theme, there is no transparency, and the Aero troubleshooting tool says that the Desktop Windows Manager was not running, starts it (at least it says so), but then nothing new happens, even after switching to another Aero theme.
